Soccer Celebration With A Purpose

SOS Children's Villages
The South African-American Chamber of Commerce (SAACOC) and the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern US, Inc. (GACC South) have spearheaded an initiative in Atlanta to celebrate the 2010 FIFA World Cup South AfricaTM.  Several bilateral Chambers of Commerce & Consulates, the World Trade Center Atlanta, and community organizations have joined the Atlanta International Soccer Fest 2010 campaign. Festivities will be taking place from June 11 to July 11, 2010, alongside the 2010 FIFA World Cup South AfricaTM.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to SOS Children’s Villages USA, ,  the world’s largest organization dedicated to orphaned and abandoned children, and SOS’ emergency relief efforts in Haiti. Since its founding in 1949, SOS Children’s Villages has expanded to 500 villages in 132 countries. They are currently raising over 80,000 children in their villages. Through their many education, family strengthening, medical, and outreach programs, they impact the lives of over 1 million people each year.
